Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 8, 1989.

The pall represents both the 'Y' for Young and also the shape of an envelope flap; the goutty de poix represents printers ink and the rose is taken from the Stationers' Company arms. The billets represent sheets of paper and the gravers in saltire are the tools of a master engraver.

All the directors of the company have Labrador dogs and the scroll and seal in the mouth of the Labrador crest recalls their association with stationery for the legal profession.
