Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on May 10, 1968.
The arms are canting. The name is derived from Kempfenrod. Kempfen, or Kämpfen, means fighting, which is symbolised by the crossed swords in the upper half. Roden means to clear forest, which is symbolised by the axes in the lower half. The division line symbolises the Seemenbach river in the municipality.
