In Gold über einer wachsenden roten Ziegelmauer zwei aufrechte einander zugewendete rote Ochsenhörner, deren Spitzen sich kreuzen. Origin/meaningThe arms were officially granted on February 1, 2000. The upper part shows two oxen-horns for the historical Ochsenweg (Ox-road) that runs through the municipality. This road was a main thoroughfare for many centuries and thus played an important role in the local history. The base shows the Waldemarsmauer (wall of Waldemar), an ancient wall which was built as a defence and border between Denmark and Schleswig. Whereas the road opened the area for the outside world, the wall restricted it. Both the road and the wall still (partly) exist. Contact and SupportPartners: Your logo here ?
