Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on November 24, 1980.
The new municipality was created in 1975 and the arms were created for the new municipality. The council wanted a Roman watchtower as a symbol, as the border of the Roman Empire ran through the area of the present municipality. At the same time the tower symbolised the two small castles in the municipality. The arms were granted in the colours of Baden.
