German heraldry:

Selected collector's items from Germany:

LANGENGEISLING

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Erding
Incorporated into : 1978 Erding

Wappen von Langengeisling/Arms of Langengeisling
Official blazon
German In Blau über zwei silbernen Wellenbalken im Schildfuß schräg gekreuzt ein goldener Bischofsstab und ein silbernes Schwert mit goldenem Griff.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 28, 1962.

The arms show a crossed sword and crosier for the local patron saint, St. Martin of Tours. The base refers to the Sempt river in the municipality, and its former watermills, which played a major role in the local development. The colours are those of Bayern.
