Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on August 18, 1959.
The wavy bar symbolises the Gaissach river after which the municipality is named. The bend also symbolises the historical fivision of the village in Ober- and Nieder (upper- and lower) Gaissach.
The sword is the symbol of St. Michael, the local patron saint. The green colour refers to the agricultural character of the municipality.
