Origin/meaning
The bishop quartered the arms of the Archdiocese with the Sierck family arms. The Counts of Sierck were a family from present day Lorrainie in France. The arms are still used by the municipality Sierck-les-Bains.
Another member of the family, Frederik van Sierck was Bishop of Utrecht and used the same arms.
