Arms: Per fess enarched Gules and Argent, in chief a paschal lamb proper, in base a cross patté Gules

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 24, 2014.

The paschal lamb is a symbol of St. John the Baptist and appears in a stained glass window in the church. The red cross refers to the one suspended above the chancel of the church. The arching line alludes to the shape of the chancel roof. Motto

This motto is painted above the chancel, and is taken from E. H. Plumtre’s processional hymn (written in 1865), “Rejoice, Ye Pure in Heart”.
