Crest:

Motto: Ex tenebris lux.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on ??-??-2023

The arms are base on an older logo used by the organisation. The owl is a creature that can see quite well in the dark. Radiation provides images of things we can not see and thus shed light on issues. This is also reflected by the motto, From darkness, light.

The supporters are Wilhelm Röntgen, the discoverer of X-rays, and Marie Curie, the discoverer of radiation.
