State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
Incorporated into : 1888 Köln

Wappen von Mülheim am Rhein/Arms (crest) of Mülheim am Rhein
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms show a small ship, with a lion and a fisher or ferryman, holding a long pole to navigate the ship. The lion probably is the lion of the County of Berg, to which the area historically belonged. The ship probably symbolises the shipping on the Rhine.
