NO 834 SQUADRON, FAA
History: First formed in 1941 at Royal Naval Air Station Palisadores (HMS Buzzard), Jamaica as a Torpedo-Bomber-Reconnaissance Sqadron for Escort Carriers. The Squadron joined HMs Battler in 1944. In 1994 the Number was allocated to the Royal New Zealand Navy.

Origin/meaning
The Latin Motto translates as "By striking together, we destroy". The Badge was approved on 25 April 1944.
