Unter goldenem Schildhaupt, darin eine schwarze Hirschstange, in Blau der goldene lateinische Großbuchstabe D.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1936 and again on August 15, 1977.

The letter D, the town's initial has been used on the local seals since the 16th century. In the 17th century the seals showed the D under a deer antler, the symbol of Württemberg. Since 1936 the arms are officially adopted and have not changed since.
