Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in 2018.
The arms combine elements from the arms of the two former Verbandsgemeinden: the first and fourth quarter are taken from the arms of the Verbandsgemeinde Waldbreitbach, the second from the arms of the Verbandsgemeinde Rengsdorf. The third quarter is taken from the arms of the Neuwied District and refer to the former County Wied.
The division line refers to the Westerwald mountains and the bordure is a typical symbol for a Verbandsgemeinde.
