HOLZHEIM

State : Hessen
District (Kreis) : Giessen
Incorporated into : 1971 Pohlheim

Wappen von Holzheim (Pohlheim)

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms are based on the old court seal dating from 1747. The court is also represented by the linden tree, a symbol of justice. The colours and the roses are derived from the arms of the Counts of Solms(-Wildfels) who ruled the area.
