ULM

State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Rastatt (until 1972 Bühl)
Incorporated into : 1973 Lichtenau

Wappen von Ulm (Lichtenau)/Arms (crest) of Ulm (Lichtenau)
Official blazon
German In Silber das schwarze Dorfzeichen (ein Kleeblattkreuz mit nach links geschweiftem Fuß).
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms show the old village sign of Ulm, which is first mentioned in a document from 1762. The oldest seal of Ulm dates from the early 19th century and shows the symbol without a shield. A later 19th century seal shows the symbol in a crowned shield. The present arms and colours were officially approved in July 1900.
