Unter grünem Schildhaupt, belegt mit einem silbernen Doppelsturzsparren, in Silber auf grünem Boden eine grüne Linde. Origin/meaningThe arms were officially granted on August 10, 2001. The arms are derived from a seal of the town known since 1670. The meaning of the tree is not known, it may be an old tree of justice. In 2000 the city was reminded by the State Archives of Brandenburg that the arms with only a tree were not distinguishable from similar tree-arms and that the arms thus should be changed. The result was the addition of the letter W in the chief.
