Origin/meaning

The scallop represents the tradition of the pilgrim church: the Church is always on its way. but the journey is never completed.

The Golden Gate Bridge signifies the area of San Francisco. where Bishop Calvo spent much of his career.

The blue wavy bars symbolize water, which represents baptism, sports and recreation. Calvo is an avid hiker and water-sports enthusiast. Found nowhere else in the world, the latte stone has become a symbol, and the signature of Guam and the Marianas Islands (see image below). Bishop Calvo was born on Guam.
