Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 27, 1988.
The watermill wheel and the wavy bar refer to the former watermill in the village, as well as for the Mühlbach brook. The green colour refers to the agricultural character of the village as well as nature. The three reeds in the base refer to the Duvenstedter Moor natural reserve.
