history:Formed at Chivenor in March 1942.

Official blazon

A gannet volant proper in front of a tower gules.
Motto: Insidantibus insidiamur = We ambush the ambushers.

Origin/meaning

The Gannet symbolise the Anti-Submarine role. The Tower symbolises Barnstable where the Unit was on formation. The badge was granted in July 1944.
