Official blazon
Der von Grün und Silber durch ein silber-schwarz quadriertes Kreuz gevierte Schild zeigt im 1. und 4. Feld in Grün eine silberne Lilie, im 2. und 3. Feld in Silber eine grüne Tanne.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on September 5, 1973.
The cross symbolises the State of Fulda, as the area historically belonged to the State of Fulda. The green and silver colour symbolise the local landscape and the pine trees the forests in the area.
