The arms show a city gate woth between the towers the red eagle of Brandenburg. The oldest seal of the city of Schönfliess dates from 1320 and shows two towers, one with the eagle and the other with the helmet and crest of Brandenburg. A later seal from 1381 shows only the gate. The above arms first appeared on the seals of the 16th century.
