NO 1833 SQUADRON, FAA

History: First formed in 1943 at Naval Air Station Quonset Point, Rhode Island, USA with Vought Corsair for HMS Illustrious 1943-1945. Reformed at Royal Naval Air Station Bramcote (HMS Gamecock) 1947-1957 with Supermarine Seafire.

English Blue; over a base barry wavy of four white and blue an eagle volant armed and langued red wings dispalyed and elevated all gold.

Motto: In caelo regimus.

Origin/meaning

The Latin Motto translates "We reign in the skies".
