THUNDORF IN UNTERFRANKEN
State : Bayern
District : Bad Kissingen
Additions : 1978 Rothhausen, Theinfeld
Origin/meaningThe arms were granted on October 17, 1979. The lion is taken from the old arms of Rothhausen. The lower half shows some tools, two axes used to clear forest and a spade. The axes are a canting symbol for Rothhausen (the tools are Reuthauen), the spade symbolises the agricultural character of Theinfeld. The silver and red colours are those of the Franken region.
