Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on September 30, 1954.
The head is taken from the arms of the Lords of Degensberg, who, until 1602, had their castle in the municipality. The wheat-ear symbolises the former important wheat-beer breweries in the municipality. The chief shows a black wavy bar, a canting element (Schwarz-Back, black-stream).
