Origin/meaning

The arms of Amt Burbach were granted on August 17, 1937.

The arms are based on the old seal of Burbach, which showed the lion of Nassau and three diamonds. The diamonds are taken from the arms of the Lords of Selbach. The arms of the Amt are slightly different, with the lion in the upper half and the diamonds below, on the seal the shield is divided vertically. The lion of Nassau is also part of all the Ämter is the (former) district Siegen.
