Origin/meaning

The arms were proposed by the State Archives in 1899 and adopted by the village council in the same year.

The arms show a broken wheel, the attribute of St. Catherine, the local patron saint.

The only known seal dates form the mid 19th century and shows a chapel with two persons, one on each side.
