Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1995.

The green cross is taken from a local legend in which a forester shot on messengers of Napoleon during the French occupation in the early 19th century. The pine tree stands for the local forests, the bell for the former church of Klein Ziethen, on which is placed the arms of the Von Bredow family. The wolf stands for the Wolfslake village and the oak for the village Krämerpfuhl.
