RAF STATION KHORMAKSAR, ROYAL AIR FORCE

History: Formed in April 1939 in Aden. It was closed as a RAF Station on November 29, 1967 and the site is now Aden International Airport.

In front of a sun in splendour Or a dhow gules.
Motto: Into the remote places.

Origin/meaning

The Dhow is symbolic of local transport and thus of the role of the Station. The Sun alludes to the warm temperatures in the Area. The badge was granted in Febrauary 1950.
