SCHWARZWALD-BAAR KREIS (VS)

State : Baden-Württemberg
Additions : 1973 Donaueschingen, Villingen

Wappen von Schwarzwald-Baar Kreis/Arms (crest) of Schwarzwald-Baar Kreis
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 7, 1974.

The four quarters and the colours are a combination of the divisions of the arms of the former two districts as well as the city of Schwenningen. The eagle is taken from the arms of the city of Villingen and is also a symbol for the Princes of Fürstenberg, who held many possessions in the area.
