Origin/meaning
The first quarter in the upper right half shows the divided shield of the Diocese of Augsburg. The lower right half shows a candelabra, taken from the arms of the Congergation of St. Otillien, to which he belonged. The cross is taken from the arms of the St. Odilien Abbey.
