Official blazon
German Von Schwarz und Silber schräggeteilt; in Silber ein schwarzer Kesselhaken.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 13, 1949.

The arms are based on the arms of the Kettler family, who owned the local Schillingworm estate until the 17th century. The kettle-hook is a canting element in the family arms.

The colours are those of the State of Köln, to which the area historically belonged.
