ALSDORF
State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Aachen
Additions : 1972 : Bettendorf, Hoengen
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in 1936 and are based on the seal of Gowsin von Ailstorp, dating from 1439. The only change is the addition of the miner's tools, as a symbol for the mining activities in the municipality. The colours are arbitrarily chosen in 1936.
