TUREK
Province: Wielkopolska
County: Turek
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
Turek received city rights in 1341. The name is derived from the word Tur (bull) and the bull in the arms is thus a canting symbol. The bull already appears on the 14th century seals of the city.
