German | Gespalten von Schwarz und Silber, vorne ein rotgekrönter und rotbewehrter goldener Löwe, hinten ein durchgehendes rotes Balkenkreuz, belegt mit einem blauen Mühlstein.
Origin/meaningThe arms are those of Niedermendig, and show the lion of the Pfalz and the cross of the State of Trier. The blue mill-stone symbolises the local quarries and stonecutting and masonry industry and also appears in the arms of the former Mayen district.
