Origin/meaningThe arms were officially granted on November 25, 2009. The wisent (European bison) is a symbol for the wisent herd on the Damerower Werder nature reserve in the municipality. The apple tree is a canting element, the name is derived from the old Slavonic word for apple. The three apples refer to the three villages in the municipality, Jabel, Damerow and Loppin.
