Origin/meaning
The arms were proposed in 1956 but were never adopted as far as I know.
The arms were based on the local seal dating from 1816. The colours were chosen arbitrarily. The chapel is the local St. Margaret chapel. The lamb in the base symbolises the historical sheep farming in the region.
