Origin/meaning

The Badge shows the Personal Arms of Philips van Almonde (1644-1711), Admiral of the Maas Admirality. He served in the Navy from 1661 to 1706, taking part in many Expeditions and Sea Battles. The Badge was approved on 5 april 1978.
