HOLZBURG

State : Hessen
District (Kreis) : Schwalm-Eder Kreis (until 1973 Ziegenhain)
Incorporated into : 1971 Schrecksbach

Arms (crest) of Holzburg
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The above arms were proposed in 1956, I don't know whether the arms were actually granted.

The arms are derived from the only known seal of the village, dating from 1802. The arms symbolise the agricultural character of the area at the time.
