Wappen von Erbach (Donau)/Arms (crest) of Erbach (Donau)
Official blazon
German In von Gold und Rot geteiltem Schild ein Löwe in verwechselten Farben.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The origin of the lion is unknown. The village of Erbach was owned by a large number of families. The seal of the village from the 16th century already showed a lion, but no signs of its colour. As the origin was unknown, the lion has been depicted in a large number of variations and colours. The present arms were granted in 1954 and the colours were chosen arbitrarily.
