SANKT ANTÖNIEN
Canton : Graubünden
Additions : 1997 Sankt Antönien-Castels, Sankt Antönien-Ruti; 2007 Sankt Antönien-Ascharina
Incorporated into : 2016 Luzein
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms show the symbol of St. Anthony, the Tau-cross.
The different villages all used the Tau-cross, with a different number of stars. Until 2007 St. Anthönien(-Rüti) used two stars, whereas St. Antönien_Castels did not use any stars and St. Antönien-Ascharina used 1 star. After the merger in 2007 the new municipality used three stars for the former municipalities.
