Origin/meaning
The bird in the first quarter is the so-called Zimbabwe bird, which together with the tower in the fourth quarter symbolise the Zimbabwe Ruins. The maize symbolises agriculture and the tools the mining in the area. The crest is the old Bell tower, part of the Old Fort.
