Origin/meaning
The arms are based on a 16th century seal. The origin is not quite clear. Allstedt belonged first to the County Pfalzsachsen, from which the eagle may be a symbol. Later it became part of (Kur-)Sachsen, the arms thereof are seen in the left half of the arms.
