Mayen District Country: Germany State: Rheinland-Pfalz Incorporated into:
|
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on August 7, 1950.
The tree in the arms is described as a Maie, and is thus a canting element. The millstone symbolises the local quarries and stonecutting and masonry industry in the district.
