In 1515 Joachim I, Prince-Elector of Brandenburg, granted Count Wolfgang von Hohenstein the rights to built an estate in Vierraden, with the name of Rosengarten (rose-garden). The estate did not exist for a long time, but the rose remained the symbol of the town. | |||

Origin/meaning
The arms of Vierraden show a rose, which already appeared on the seal of the city from 1575.
