ZELL AN DER PRAM

State : Oberösterreich
District : Schärding

Arms of Zell an der Pram

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 15, 1969.

The arms are taken from the medieval arms of the Zeller (de Celle) family, who had an estate of the left bank of the Pram river in the 12th century. In 1426 they built a castle on the right bank of the river as well. The family became extinct in 1550, and the arms were chosen as the village developed around their possessions.
