Heraldry of the World Civic heraldry of Germany - Deutsche Wappen (Gemeindewappen/Kreiswappen) |
MINDEN-LÜBBECKE (MI)
State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
Additions : 1973 Minden, Lübbecke
Origin/meaning :
The arms were granted on September 11, 1973.
The arms are based on the old arms of Minden. The left part now shows the chevrons of Ravensberg more correctly. The original single key in the right half is replaced by two keys, both for the two districts, as for the old arms of the State of Minden.
Literature : Linder and Olzog, 1996.
