Escudo de Utrera

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

If this text appears, it means that background information is available, but that I have not yet had the time to add the information on these arms. Just [|mail me with the name of the town in the subject !] and I will add all information that I have !

The municipality also uses a simplified version :

Escudo de Utrera

Utrera was an old Roman colony and later a fortified town. This is shown in the arms by the watch tower and a Roman lady. The bridge is the local bridge and the water in the base symbolises the local river as well as the irrigation works in the surrounding area. The horse and bull are symbols for the agriculture.

The arms use din the 1980s:
