Province : Parma
Italian | Di verde al ponte d’argento a tre arcate, attraversate da tre fiumi al naturale, caricate di due cornucopie d’oro, passanti in decusse ricolme di frutti e foglie al naturale. Ornamenti esteriori da Comune. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms have been granted on July 3, 1942.
The bridge is a symbolic bridge, not a real building. It symbolises that the territory of the municipality is crossed by three rivers, the Po, Parma and Enza. The chief shows two cornucopia for the fertile lands of the municipality.
Before 1942 the municipality used arms with a castle wall with a fleur-de-lys. The castle could represent the castle of Felino, but it could also have been the bishop's castle. The fleur-de-lys represents the fact that the area was owned by the Dukes of Parma. The green field represented agriculture.
