German | Geteilt; oben in Rot nebeneinander drei aufsteigende silberne Spitzen; unten gespalten: vorn in Blau ein schräg gestelltes, Silber/Rot gevierteiltes Fähnchen an goldener Stange; hinten in Rot ein silbernes Rad.
Origin/meaningThe arms show in the upper part the points of the arms of Franken. The lower part shows the banner of the State of Würzburg and the wheel of the State of Mainz. Until 1803 the largest part of the area belonged to either one of these States. The arms were also used by the former Kreis Unterfranken, but with the royal crown: Contact and SupportPartners: Your logo here ? © 1995-2025, Heraldry of the World, Ralf Hartemink Literature : Image and information taken from here : http://www.stmukwk.bayern.de/blz/bezirke/bezirke.html; Hupp, O: Kaffee Hag albums, 1920s |
