THE LANCASHIRE FUSILIERS, BRITISH ARMY
History: Raised in 1688 as Peyton's 20th Regiment of Foot, redesignated in 1751 as XX Foot and in 1881 XX The Lancashire. In 1968 amalgamated with The Royal Northumberland Fusiliers, British Army, The Royal Warwickshire Fusiliers, British Army, The Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment), British Army to form The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, British Army.
